Igniting Inspiration Week 18 (2/21/21)

Hello there and good Sunday morning to you lovely people! I am very excited to be bringing to you Igniting Inspiration Week 18! I always love putting together these posts as a good close to the week past, and a celebration for the new week ahead. This past week has been a beautiful one for me, and there were some pretty special moments. I’d like to try something new on this series and share with you guys a little bit of how my week has been ๐Ÿ˜‰

This week seemed to strangely go by pretty quickly. Before I knew it I realized that the next day was Friday and the weekend was almost here again! Quite a bit happened, as always there were highs and there were lows, but I am grateful beyond anything for another beautiful week God gave me the opportunity to experience and live out.

I had a great Valentines Day! Haha it was really great, even though nothing really big and special happened, and this year I had 4 different Valentines you could say! 1. Was my Daddy (he’s the main one every year, he got me a sweet card and wrote in it ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) 2. I mean Jesus, of course 3. My Doggo, Tank, because I asked him… i mean i think he said yes… and 4. Was my bestie, Livy! We agreed to be Gal-entines because we’re lonely ๐Ÿคฃ So yeah, overall Valentines Day was great.

Monday, I watched 10 Cloverfield Lane with my sister and parents. That’s actually all I remember from Monday, but it was a great movie and I am very excited about the fact that there’s supposed to be another Cloverfield movie being made.

(I don’t remember anything from Tuesday, I need to get better at remembering to write these things down)

On Wednesday night I joined a youth group get-together, which I am so happy I decided to attend. It was only my second time visiting this youth group, and the whole night was really great. (we are exploring other churches right now, which I haven’t said anything about on here before, but we have been looking for a new place to call home ๐Ÿ™‚ ) I met a couple of new people who I hope are becoming good friends of mine now, we played some great games, had a wonderful short sermon, and we basically just cracked up and goofed around the whole time. It was nice meeting some new people, I haven’t gotten the chance to meet some new friends in such a long time. I actually can’t wait for the next youth get-together, I really enjoyed it!

Thursday, I decided to pull up my big girl pants and save and set free what looked like a baby stink bug. (i am normally terrified of bugs and i’m trying so hard to get over it) I managed to catch it into a cup, cover it, and release it outside. I think that should count as a brave moment this week ๐Ÿ˜‚

Friday, ahhh I think this day was the highlight of my week, even though it was a mix of highs and lows. The day started off smoothly, but later started going downhill from there. I got pretty upset and worked up over many things and let my emotions take over which effected other people too. I eventually lost any motivation to finish what needed done that day and lost all hope of it still turning out as a good day. It got really bad. But, I guess my sweet Mama understood that I was just upset and didn’t mean to make anyone else’s day harder. I really needed a break and just something to enjoy, and that’s what she gave me. She took me out to go Spring clothing shopping at Plato’s Closet, which she had talked about doing sometime before. We were there for awhile, but she didn’t seem to mind. We found some really great things and I am very happy with my new additions to my Spring 2021 wardrobe! (be on the lookout this week for a clothing haul post!) It was alot of fun taking a shopping trip like that, I haven’t gone clothes shopping in awhile. Afterwards Mama took me out to eat at Rusty Taco, where I got some delcious BBQ brisket nachos. (my fave) I had an amazing time with my Mama and I made sure to thank her for taking me out, because I had a terrible attitude that day and really didn’t deserve it. While we were driving to Plato’s Closet earlier that evening, there was the most beautiful sunset I have surely ever seen. The sun was glowing golden orange setting low on the horizon, the clouds covering the top to where just to golden bottom was shining through, and the sky splashed with pinks, and blues, and oranges, and yellows. It really reminded me that no matter how difficult or even hopelessly terrible a day or something may seem, the sun with always shine again. There is still happiness and joy and hope to be found. Just that small act of kindess from my Mama, made the entire day wonderful. Ain’t nobody got a greater, more lovely Mama than me. Love you Mama ๐Ÿ˜˜

And Saturday, in the morning had a beautiful try-on fashion show for my sister with all the new clothes I got! I am quite excited to start wearing all my adorable clothes, if only this freezing snowy weather would go away now ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Wow I very much enjoy sharing even those small moments from my week! I hope you enjoyed reading about it, what were some special moments from your week? ๐Ÿ™‚ I’d love to hear all about it! Welp here we have come to the middle where I share some of my favorite quotes with you! These quotes of encouragement really spoke to my heart this week, and I hope they do the same for you! Please enjoy xD

Blogmas Day #17: “They got REESES!?” One Happy Delivery Guy โค

(8 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS GUYS. SOOOO CLOSE! xD)

Hiya hiya my beautiful jelly beans! I hope you are having an amazing day, and welcome to Day #17 of Blogmas here on Sunshine & Rain!

Today I wanted to share something pretty special with y’all. We caught something absolutely amazing and really funny on our front porch camera yesterday, and it made me so happy.

I made a short video of the footage we caught which you can click the link to view it down below!

Click here to see the video!

Ahhh, the delivery man had no clue there was a camera catching all of this haha! He got so excited over the basket we left outside full of yummy treats (which I displayed a photo of at the top of this post). It fills me with joy seeing the delivery men/women’s faces light up when they see the treats we left.

Just 2 days ago, another delivery man was just beginning to walk away from the house, he seen me standing by the window and waved me down to hold up the M&M’s he grabbed, and give me a thumbs up with a great big smile.

This guy we caught on video seemed especially excited. LOL his reaction xD! We stood in the middle of Kohls as we watched the footage from my Mom’s phone and we started to crack up! This really shows how easily you can make someone that happy, and I hope that we made his day a little brighter. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I encourage you guys to make your own goody baskets for the Holiday’s, and any other time to spread so kindness and love to our fellow delivery workers. We filled our basket up with Oreos, pop corn, Tootsie rolls, Reeses, Pop Tarts, drinks, kit kats, M&M’s, cookies, and much more for them to grab what they’d like. (We also left a note at the top explaining to them what it was of course)

I will never forget his wonderful gasps of surprise, and his excitement in “They got REESES?!”

Make someone a little happier today. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Blogmas Day #11: Happy Moments (12/11/20)

*pinterest*

Hey loves! I hope you have had a wonderful day, and welcome to Day #11 of Blogmas here on Sunshine & Rain! (GUYS. 14 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS. JUST 2 WEEKS! xD)

Today I would like to take some time to sit an reflect on some Happy Moments from today, and this past week. Today has been a different day than it usually is, and I think it’d be nice to write about the highlights of the beautiful day that I was given before it comes to an end, and another day begins. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Happy Moments for me are really special, and I am very grateful to have had quite a few this. Writing about them makes me even happier, and reflecting on them makes me feel well rested and brings me comfort at the end of the day seeing all the good things I experienced.

I often have trouble being grateful and finding happiness in daily life, even in the little things, so this really helps me. Talk to me in the comments about your own happy moments from this week, because I would love to hear about them ๐Ÿ˜‰

Here are my recent Happy Moments from this week, big and small.

Igniting Inspiration Week #14

…like the new logo? ; D

Hello lovely, and good Sunday Morning! (atleast from where I live ; D)

*sighs* It’s really good to be back. I have once again returned from another unexpected blogging hiatus, and I must say that I really missed this. Life has just been very different for me lately, and it was really nice to just take a step away from blogging and take a breathe before I came back to it. I have recently been working on a big bumble-jumble of a post about my life recently, so that should be up soon! I apologize for once again not letting y’all know about my short disappearances before hand, but I am so happy to be back now! xD

With my return, I have brought Week #14 of Igniting Inspiration which I am so excited for! For Week #13 of Igniting Inspiration, I decided to try some new things and change it up a bit. Well, for Week #14 I am once again changing things up. xD (Don’t worry it’s a good change ;D)

As much as I loved doing a short little devo last time, I found it pretty difficult to randomly come up with something to talk about in a devo. I basically had an inspiration burnout (which was bad because ya’know this series is all about inspiration) and decided that I would change things again.

Now, every week I’m usually used to sharing 15-20 different aesthetic quotes, but I have decided that I’m gonna cut it down to 5-10 quotes a week. 1. Because searching for that many quotes on Pinterest actually takes a long time. 2. Using that many quotes a week I am bound to completely run out someday, seriously. And 3. I would like to focus more on certain things instead of just throwing a bunch of quotes out there.

Last time, I also said I wanted to start sharing inspiration and encouragement through my own words and heart. That’s why I tried to start doing a devo every week, but it unfortunately didn’t work out for me. So, this week (and hopefully here on out) we are going to be focusing on just a handful of encouraging quotes, and I would like to give my input on each of them. I want to start sharing what they each mean to me, and why they speak to my heart!

Oh, and yes, we are absolutely still keeping the MEMES, those will never change xD

So, Welcome my dear friends to Week #14 Of Igniting Inspiration, in which I am featuring a handful of encouraging (and pleasingly aesthetic) quotes, and some hilarious MEMES to kick off the new week ahead! I am very excited to see what this week holds, because I have never seen it before. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Alrighty guys, away we go! xD

This one I have found to actually be one of my favorite quotes ever. It’s such a comforting and quite amazing thought that one day, we will find what we have been searching for. Or, we may even find something bigger, and more beautiful than what we ever imagined we could have. That thought brings me so much hope.
This one I actually feel like is so very true! Sometimes it’s nice to find a little reminder like that. How so beautiful you really are, you are just so used to yourself you don’t actually realize your beauty. โค
Such a great reminder when you’re facing something fierce. Just keep fighting that battle. Just keep pushing through the raging storm. Keep climbing that mountain because there is promise from God that something absolutely beautiful beyond imagination, waits on the other side. It will all be so worth it.
This relates to the quote above quite alot. One day, everything that you are fighting against or that mountain you are climbing, will all be apart of your story. Your testimony. Your testimony has power, and when shared with others, it can change lives. I think it’s actually amazing, telling the story of how your life was changed, and that changes another life. โค
What an amazing thing. Sometimes we have to be broken down, before we can build up. There is beauty in the ashes. There is beauty in shattered hearts. There is beauty in the broken, because that’s what makes us who we are. It’s what helps us to grow and figure out who we are meant to be, so that we can start building again, and healing, and turning into something beautiful.
This one also relates to the quote above. There cannot be any rainbows without rain. The rain is what makes us grow, and that’s what makes it beautiful. There cannot be beauty without any broken. The flowers wouldn’t be here if they didn’t go through the rain. In the end, there will be beauty and joy and happiness waiting. You just gotta push through.
Ahhh, I love this one so much. Just such an encouragement that you can be who you want to be, without letting other things or people affect that. You really can be the best version of you imaginable, and that thought makes me so happy. I really love thinking about who I am gonna be in the next 5 years or so. I like to imagine how I will have grown and changed, because I know there will always be change ahead. You really can be the best you, you’ve just gotta work towards it.

Haha it feels so different giving a smaller amount of quotes than what I’m used to, but I really enjoyed giving my input on those ones!

Tisโ€™ the time where I must bid my farewells before this officially ends. *sigh* But donโ€™t worry! There is much more coming to Sunshine & Rain so be sure to subscribe to the blog to make sure you donโ€™t miss out! (Subscribing also makes you an official member of the #GummyBearFam ๐Ÿ˜‰)

So before this post ends, thanks a bunch my loves for checking out the latest here on Sunshine & Rain! I hope that you enjoyed Week #14 of Igniting Inspiration, and I canโ€™t wait to chat with you guys!

Now, for the grand finale we have the MEMES! xD

Please enjoy these wonderful MEMES, and as always, I challenge you to go through all of them without laughing! If you accomplish that, then comment down below #NotAGiggle! And if youโ€™re more like me, and canโ€™t hold in a laugh for the life of you (no shame), then comment down below #…lotsagiggles! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Okay, ready. Set. Here we go! xD (bye-bye lovely person ๐Ÿ˜Š *waves*)

AGHHH. I seriously missed y’all so much, you’re the freakin’ BEST HUMANS EVER! ight, byeeeee *smiles big*

Igniting Inspiration Week #13 Unbroken Promises: He Will Prosper You

Good Sunday morning, lovely! (Or just Happy Sunday to others in different time zones ; D)

*sighs* Here we go.

Okay so this week, Igniting Inspiration is going to be a bit different.

(don’t worry, it’s a good different.)

Every week for the past 12 weeks, I have always looked forward to the Saturday morning when I can sit at the kitchen table eating pancakes for breakfast, and gather some beautiful quotes, and hilarious MEMES to bring sunshine to the lives of others! And it makes me so very happy seeing how much you all seem to love it, and look forward to it just as much as I do!

But recently I’ve been thinking, and I want to change up what I am doing with Igniting Inspiration. I absolutely love spreading happiness, and hope, and joy to others through amazing (and wonderfully aesthetic) quotes, but I have felt as if it wasn’t truly coming from my own heart, as if I was always just using somebody else’s words. Of course, I am a huge quote person and I love when you find that one quote that literally hits you right in the heart, but when I am showing light to others, I also want it to be through my very own heart, and words.

So, here we are.

You may or may not have noticed that this past week, I havenโ€™t posted anything. Week #13 of Igniting Inspiration was supposed to be last Sunday, but I decided to take a break and reflect on the past 12 weeks of the series before I just jumped right into the next. (Life also got a little crazy, so a break for some time to myself and not having to worry about posting was really nice.) It got me thinking how I really wanted to change the series just a bit!

So, this week I am going to switch it up, and if I find I love it, then I will probably continue doing it this way for the rest of the time!

For Week #13 of Igniting Inspiration, I am going to be spreading encouragement and love from my very own heart through a short Bible study, on one specific topic. This weeks topic is going to be Unbroken Promises: He Will Prosper You. I plan on doing this topic as a series, and for the next few weeks I will do the topic of the unbroken promises of God!

I really felt like I needed to write about this, because I have personally been struggling with doubt, and have had real anxiety about what my future holds recently. To be completely honest I really get scared about these things, and it hurts not knowing the answer to many questions. But I have found great comfort in seeing the promises that God has for me, that he will never break.

As I am digging into these promises, I want to share them with you all, and bada-bing bada-boom! We have our own little group. ๐Ÿ˜Š

I am no preacher. Just a girl who is discovering Jesus, and who wants you to discover him with her.

Oh, did you think I am just gonna completely forget about the quotes, and the MEMES?! Uh-uh, nooooooo sir! Haha, my love for quotes and MEMES shall never fade, so at the end of the post, I will still continue to include some lovely quotes, and hilarious MEMES! xD

(Srsly, what would Igniting Inspiration even BE without the MEMES amiright??)

Letโ€™s go ahead and dive into this weeks promise! And don’t forget to stay till the end for some encouraging quotes, and the amazing MEMES for some laughs to kick off this new week! xD

Alright imma keep the Devo short and sweet for ya, so here we go! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Unbroken Promises: He will Prosper You

Alright, who here has ever worried crazy about their future? … Mkay, anyone here ever felt afraid that their future won’t go as you have planned now? Anyone just been so scared about what they really want but may never get?

No, it’s okay! Be completely honest. Because I am standing right there with you sista.

I have definitely felt really weird about these things before, and still seem to do it all the time! I mean, I already have so many hopes and dreams and things about what my future may look like, and thinking about that makes us feel really good, doesn’t it? We start thinking “Oh God is definitely going to give me a happy life, and all of these amazing things and I will be happy no matter what!”

But then we start to doubt. We feel afraid of the thought that life isn’t going to have everything we want, and dream of. And that’s because it isn’t.

Life won’t have everything we want, and that really does suck but there is another promise God has given us in place of that. Actually, quite a few promises he has given us in place of that!

Just take a look right here at Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”

In this verse, God is promising us that he has plans for us and he knows exactly what those plans are! He knows every itty bitty detail about what our future will look like, and he is in control of all of it! Our future will most likely look so very different from what we expect it to be, but we just have to remember that God is in all of it, and he does everything for our good. One of my favorite quotes is, “God wrecks your plans when he sees that your plans are about to wreck you.” And it is so true! God’s plans for us are always for our good, because that’s just how much he loves us.

When God tells us no to something we really want, we get pretty upset don’t we? I mean God promises us great things doesn’t he? Well, yes! He absolutely does! But the thing is, God promises us great and amazing things, but he never promises we will get exactly what we want. When God tells us no, or takes something away from us that we loved so much, he is using everything to guide us in the right direction! God’s “no” is not a rejection, its a redirection. So I can guarantee, it’s a very good thing whenever God tells us no. Sometimes, it’s a very good thing not getting what we wanted, because God still promises us something great. Greater than anything we ever dreamed of! We just have to realize, that we can’t have exactly what we want, and have Gods even better and amazing plans at the same time.

In all the years that I have lived, never once did a single thing go exactly as I thought it would.

And every single time, no matter how tough it was to get through the big and small, it all turned out great, and I was okay.

God also says in this verse, that he has plans to prosper, and not to harm us.

Lets look into the word prosper

Prosper, means to succeed, to bloom, flourish, to fly, thrive, grow, to live, to shoot up, to flower, do well, blossom, booming, to spread, to expand, advance, make a mark, to impact, go places, and to make good!

Does anybody else see what I am seeing? God is saying that he promises that we will succeed, we will bloom through it all, we will flourish, and fly, and thrive, and shoot up, and spread, and that we will make a mark in the world!

I really do believe, that God does want us to have a happy life. Even though our lives may seem to completely turn around, I think that no matter what God will give us happiness. I believe that God loves to see us when we are happy!

He promises us that we will flourish, and thrive, and bloom, and fly! I find that very comforting. God is saying that everything he does, is not to harm or to hurt or punish us! His decisions for our future our perfect in every way, and he does it all for our good. He promises us hope, and a beautiful future!

He promises that what he has for us, is perfect. Far better than what we may see as perfect, and we will be so grateful at some points that we actually didnโ€™t get what we wanted but got what God wanted!

God knows so much better than we do. Sometimes I forget that simple fact but itโ€™s so very true.

God has ruled over everything. The heavens and the earth, from the beginning of time. He has reigned over it for all eternity! So I think that in all the time he has watched this earth, compared to the very few years Iโ€™ve been here, then I think he must have seen a whooooole lot more than I can ever imagine! And, he has.

So, that concludes to say, that there is nothing that God hasnโ€™t seen, heard, or felt. God watched it all, and he is in complete control no matter how crazy it may feel, I promise you that God has never let go of that steering wheel of life! Every single thing that happens, happens for a reason. It all happens for the greater good.

If you just trust him with all your heart and stand strong in your faith, and just let go of everything that has hurt you and hand it all to God, he will give you everything you are destined for. Everything that happens to you, is all meant to lead you back to him, and to make you stronger, and to prepare you for whats ahead.

There are so, so, so many things ahead, that you and I canโ€™t even imagine right now. God is full of surprises, and I definitely believe God fits some humor in there too haha! We donโ€™t know what tomorrow holds, itโ€™s just something we can never comprehend. But we can trust that God has a perfectly perfect plan beyond our understanding, and itโ€™s all going to work out. There are many things ahead, that even though I have no clue what they could be, I canโ€™t wait to figure that out.

So honโ€™, Gods got this, okay? No matter how hurt you are, no matter how scared, no matter how doubtful you are, God is going to pull you through the fire. He is going to stand right next to you through it all. He is going to watch you bloom, and you will be happy, and joyous, you will fly, flourish, and thrive. And he loves you. He will never stop.

And thatโ€™s a promise.

Now, we are going to get onto the beautiful quotes for some extra encouragement and smiles! Lemme know which of the quotes is your favorite! ; D

Introducing Sunshine and Rain: New Changes to the Blog *jumps in excitement*

Hewwo dear chicken nuggets! *sips chamomile tea* It’s great to be back! (I wasn’t actually gone for too long, but ya’know it’s always nice making another appearance) I don’t know who all has noticed yet, but I have recently redone my blog layout, and completely changed the name! In this post I will be going into detail on that topic, and explain why the changes. Also explaining what kinds of things are coming to Sunshine and Rain in the future.

So I first began blogging back in May\June of last year. Which it’s almost my one year blogging anniversary! (I’m not actually planning on doing anything really big for it, but just thought it was a cool thing to think about!) Anyways, when I first started blogging I sorta just jumped into it blindly with no idea what I was really doing. It didn’t exactly have a purpose besides the fact it was a delayed school assignment. I explain more about my first experiences with blogging and why I wasn’t getting what I felt my heart wanted for it in my post “Starting Fresh”. Over time, I have found the purpose for my blog and what I wanted it to be, and what I really felt my heart desired for it! Having a main purpose for it also made it so much more fun to do! I really do have a love for blogging, and sharing my life’s experiences through it. The good, and the bad. And that my friends, leads to why the name change.

What once was “Hailey Creates: Create. Imagine. Live Crazy.”, is now “Sunshine and Rain: Through the craziness of life.” I first named my blog Hailey Creates, because I originally thought that my whole blog would be based off of hacks, DIY’s, and that stuff. But that’s not what I wanted. Yes, I do plan on doing some DIY, and crafty posts in the future because I love that stuff! I am definitely a crafty person, and love sharing fun things like that with y’all, but that’s not why my blog exists. Like I said in Starting Fresh, I want to share my life’s experiences on here. I don’t want people to just see my content I want them to feel it, and relate to it. I want it to help young girls like me that are trying to find their way around this world. I want to share the things I love, share the adventures I go on, and all of the crazy things of my life!

One of my favorite things to keep in mind is that “A tree has to go through Sunshine, Dirt, and Rain to grow.” Which by the way, I am proud to mention that it’s my very own quote. xD It is saying that we are like trees. We have to go through alot, the good and the bad, to be able to grow. To grow into ourselves as who we are destined to be, and to grow in our faith in God. Through happiness, and joy, to sadness and the dirt of the world to fulfill our purpose in Jesus, and to be who we are destined to be and destined to do. So like trees we have to break through the dirt, and sadness, and the pain. We have to feel and soak in the sunshine, enjoy the happy moments, and seek joy through the rain. That is why the name change, because I want to share all those kinds of things I face through this blog and share how I “do” life. Also because I really love the sunny, beachy vibe the name and logo gives my blog haha!

I am working on putting together more things that have to do with lifestyle posts, pen paling or even bujo stuff, song covers, original songs, daily life, poetry, short stories, photography, traveling, life tips, and a whooooole bunch of other things that I love! To sum it up it’s basically the adventures of my life. I’m sharing the things that I face, and showing how i’m overcoming them, and trying to grow into myself and fulfill my purpose. I am so excited to share these things, and I think this will be a good thing to keep and then look back on my life when I’m older! I basically want my blog to be an outward expression of my personality, and show who I am. The truth is life is crazy. There will be Sunshine, and there will be rain.

Welcome to the blog, and to the crazy journey of life! Get comfortable, and hang on chicken nuggets. Its gonna be a wild ride.

How bout’ my new signout eh? xD
