Igniting Inspiration Week 18 (2/21/21)

Hello there and good Sunday morning to you lovely people! I am very excited to be bringing to you Igniting Inspiration Week 18! I always love putting together these posts as a good close to the week past, and a celebration for the new week ahead. This past week has been a beautiful one for me, and there were some pretty special moments. I’d like to try something new on this series and share with you guys a little bit of how my week has been ๐Ÿ˜‰

This week seemed to strangely go by pretty quickly. Before I knew it I realized that the next day was Friday and the weekend was almost here again! Quite a bit happened, as always there were highs and there were lows, but I am grateful beyond anything for another beautiful week God gave me the opportunity to experience and live out.

I had a great Valentines Day! Haha it was really great, even though nothing really big and special happened, and this year I had 4 different Valentines you could say! 1. Was my Daddy (he’s the main one every year, he got me a sweet card and wrote in it ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) 2. I mean Jesus, of course 3. My Doggo, Tank, because I asked him… i mean i think he said yes… and 4. Was my bestie, Livy! We agreed to be Gal-entines because we’re lonely ๐Ÿคฃ So yeah, overall Valentines Day was great.

Monday, I watched 10 Cloverfield Lane with my sister and parents. That’s actually all I remember from Monday, but it was a great movie and I am very excited about the fact that there’s supposed to be another Cloverfield movie being made.

(I don’t remember anything from Tuesday, I need to get better at remembering to write these things down)

On Wednesday night I joined a youth group get-together, which I am so happy I decided to attend. It was only my second time visiting this youth group, and the whole night was really great. (we are exploring other churches right now, which I haven’t said anything about on here before, but we have been looking for a new place to call home ๐Ÿ™‚ ) I met a couple of new people who I hope are becoming good friends of mine now, we played some great games, had a wonderful short sermon, and we basically just cracked up and goofed around the whole time. It was nice meeting some new people, I haven’t gotten the chance to meet some new friends in such a long time. I actually can’t wait for the next youth get-together, I really enjoyed it!

Thursday, I decided to pull up my big girl pants and save and set free what looked like a baby stink bug. (i am normally terrified of bugs and i’m trying so hard to get over it) I managed to catch it into a cup, cover it, and release it outside. I think that should count as a brave moment this week ๐Ÿ˜‚

Friday, ahhh I think this day was the highlight of my week, even though it was a mix of highs and lows. The day started off smoothly, but later started going downhill from there. I got pretty upset and worked up over many things and let my emotions take over which effected other people too. I eventually lost any motivation to finish what needed done that day and lost all hope of it still turning out as a good day. It got really bad. But, I guess my sweet Mama understood that I was just upset and didn’t mean to make anyone else’s day harder. I really needed a break and just something to enjoy, and that’s what she gave me. She took me out to go Spring clothing shopping at Plato’s Closet, which she had talked about doing sometime before. We were there for awhile, but she didn’t seem to mind. We found some really great things and I am very happy with my new additions to my Spring 2021 wardrobe! (be on the lookout this week for a clothing haul post!) It was alot of fun taking a shopping trip like that, I haven’t gone clothes shopping in awhile. Afterwards Mama took me out to eat at Rusty Taco, where I got some delcious BBQ brisket nachos. (my fave) I had an amazing time with my Mama and I made sure to thank her for taking me out, because I had a terrible attitude that day and really didn’t deserve it. While we were driving to Plato’s Closet earlier that evening, there was the most beautiful sunset I have surely ever seen. The sun was glowing golden orange setting low on the horizon, the clouds covering the top to where just to golden bottom was shining through, and the sky splashed with pinks, and blues, and oranges, and yellows. It really reminded me that no matter how difficult or even hopelessly terrible a day or something may seem, the sun with always shine again. There is still happiness and joy and hope to be found. Just that small act of kindess from my Mama, made the entire day wonderful. Ain’t nobody got a greater, more lovely Mama than me. Love you Mama ๐Ÿ˜˜

And Saturday, in the morning had a beautiful try-on fashion show for my sister with all the new clothes I got! I am quite excited to start wearing all my adorable clothes, if only this freezing snowy weather would go away now ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

Wow I very much enjoy sharing even those small moments from my week! I hope you enjoyed reading about it, what were some special moments from your week? ๐Ÿ™‚ I’d love to hear all about it! Welp here we have come to the middle where I share some of my favorite quotes with you! These quotes of encouragement really spoke to my heart this week, and I hope they do the same for you! Please enjoy xD

Blogmas Day #17: “They got REESES!?” One Happy Delivery Guy โค

(8 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS GUYS. SOOOO CLOSE! xD)

Hiya hiya my beautiful jelly beans! I hope you are having an amazing day, and welcome to Day #17 of Blogmas here on Sunshine & Rain!

Today I wanted to share something pretty special with y’all. We caught something absolutely amazing and really funny on our front porch camera yesterday, and it made me so happy.

I made a short video of the footage we caught which you can click the link to view it down below!

Click here to see the video!

Ahhh, the delivery man had no clue there was a camera catching all of this haha! He got so excited over the basket we left outside full of yummy treats (which I displayed a photo of at the top of this post). It fills me with joy seeing the delivery men/women’s faces light up when they see the treats we left.

Just 2 days ago, another delivery man was just beginning to walk away from the house, he seen me standing by the window and waved me down to hold up the M&M’s he grabbed, and give me a thumbs up with a great big smile.

This guy we caught on video seemed especially excited. LOL his reaction xD! We stood in the middle of Kohls as we watched the footage from my Mom’s phone and we started to crack up! This really shows how easily you can make someone that happy, and I hope that we made his day a little brighter. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I encourage you guys to make your own goody baskets for the Holiday’s, and any other time to spread so kindness and love to our fellow delivery workers. We filled our basket up with Oreos, pop corn, Tootsie rolls, Reeses, Pop Tarts, drinks, kit kats, M&M’s, cookies, and much more for them to grab what they’d like. (We also left a note at the top explaining to them what it was of course)

I will never forget his wonderful gasps of surprise, and his excitement in “They got REESES?!”

Make someone a little happier today. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Blogmas Day #9: Acts of Kindness to Spread Holiday Cheer (12/9/20)

Hiya hiya beautiful gummy bears! I hope you are having a wonderful day, and welcome to Day #9 of Blogmas 2020! xD (AHHHHHH. 16 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS GUYS.) Can’t believe that tomorrow we will have a 10 day streak on Sunshine & Rain!

Today I am making a big list of Acts of Kindness to do, that will spread the love and cheer of the Holidays. I wanted to post this because in yesterdays post I talked about how one simple act of kindness can change someones entire perspective. So, what better time to give examples than now? Simple and random acts of kindness truly can change a life, and I think that’s absolutely amazing. Not only should we all practice these over the Holidays, but in every day life.

Alrighty, here we go! Just a big ole’ list of some sweet things to do ๐Ÿ˜Š

  • Pay for the order of the person behind you
  • Make love filled Christmas cards and hide them anywhere for someone to find
  • Buy a gift and leave it at a neighbors doorstep
  • Bake cookies and put them in the mailbox with a note for the mailman to find
  • Write little loving notes and hide them anywhere for a stranger to find and re-hide
  • Shovel the neighbors driveway
  • Give a stranger a heartfelt compliment
  • Leave a bin of goodies with a note out on your front porch for the delivery men to grab a snack
  • Give someone a random hug
  • Look at someone, and just smile
  • Leave a kind note & tip for the waiter/waitress that served you
  • Take someones shopping cart for them
  • Help someone with a chore
  • Give someone homeless a donation of money or buy them a meal
  • Sit and talk with the quiet kid
  • Give someone a flower randomly
  • Tie scarves, gloves, coats, and blankets around poles for people in need to take
  • Leave a sweet comment on someones post
  • Make someone laugh
  • Introduce yourself to someone new
  • Stand up for somebody
  • Make a list for someone of all the things you love about them
  • Take some time to tell the store/restaurant manager to rant on how great the employee who served you was
  • Leave unused coupons for someone to find
  • Purposely drop a penny on the ground
  • Give someone a random phone call
  • Volunteer at an animal shelter, donate toys, food, and blankets, and give some cuddles โค
  • Teach someone something new
  • Leave a gift card at a gas station for someone to find
  • Make encouraging letters to send into nursing homes, and hospitals
  • Help to pick up something that somebody dropped
  • Sing a song for someone
  • Babysit without payment

I will definitely be doing as many of these as I can not only through the Holidays, but all the time. You definitely should too ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thanks a bunch for being the amazing person you are and checking out the latest here on Sunshine & Rain! I hope you enjoyed, and if you did, be sure to subscribe to the blog to make sure that you don’t miss out on any of the future content! xD

Have a day as beautiful as you, and I am sending much love ๐Ÿ˜‰ See you tomorrow! *blows kisses*

Life is worth living.

Hey guys, I bet this won’t be the Blogmas post you were expecting, but Welcome to Blogmas Day #8 here on Sunshine & Rain.

I am not going to fully label this as Blogmas, because today is going to be a different topic. It’s not holiday related, but it’s something I really need to say. I have to say this.

A few weeks ago, my cousin committed suicide.

I wish I could’ve known the hurt he was feeling. The pain or frustration or stress that pushed him so far, that made him end his own life. A decision that cannot be taken back.

I didn’t know him well, but when I found out about what happened I was in complete shock, and a wave of sadness and grief came over me.

I would have done anything to stop it.

19 is too young to die.

I wish I would have known it was gonna happen. I couldn’t and still can’t stop asking myself, “God knew it was going to happen so why didn’t he send someone to stop it? Why didn’t he send me?”

Because I would be there in a heartbeat.

The unfortunate thing is, those are questions that we don’t have the answer to. I ask myself over and over why God sees what’s going to happen and doesn’t send someone to stop it. But God works in mysterious ways, and what happened happened for a reason.

My heart still hurts so much. Because a precious life came to an end way too early, and he wasn’t the only one.

Every 40 seconds, someone takes their own life.

There is so much more ahead for all of these people, so much that they won’t get to see. God has a purpose and a perfect plan for everyone. He gave us each the lives we have for a reason.

I wish I could save them all. How I wish I could.

Every day, so many people make the decision to end their own life. And that breaks my heart to pieces. That’s the thing about me, I love people too much to let anyone do something like that.

I am so sick and tired of sitting around going about my own life, when there is someone out there hurting so badly right now. Multiple people. And I want to do something.

I can’t save everyone, which hurts so much, but I am not going to stop trying to save anyone I can. And I need others to stand up with me. Guys, we need to save these people.

Our tongues hold the power of life and death. That one rude comment you give, could be the one last thing that pushes someone to the point of death tonight.

But that one single compliment you give. That one random act of kindness like holding the door open or paying for their meal in the drivethrough. That could change their whole perspective. That could save their lives.

Please make someone feel like they matter, because they do matter and are loved more than they know. We should be training ourselves to treat every single person like they could be thinking about ending their own life that day. Because ya’know what?

They could.

And please, if you are hurting I am reaching out to tell you that you have to keep going. Jesus loves you more than you know and he has so many promises for you. Life will bring struggles and life will bring pain and hurt, but there is so much more ahead for you. Life will also bring memories, and smiles, and joy, and beauty. The pain you have been feeling cannot compare to the joy that is coming. Romans 8:18 promises that. Keep pushing through.

You are beautiful no matter what anyone says or thinks.

You are loved beyond measure, and you are not forgotten.

Dear, I don’t know what exactly you’re facing or who you are, but please don’t do it. Please darling. Don’t give up. If you keep going, in the end you will look back and be so happy because it will be so worth it!

Please talk to me. I know what it feels like to have no motivation anymore. To feel empty, not understood by anyone at all, unseen, frustrated, stressed, unworthy, unheard, like you don’t matter to anyone. I know what grief is. Grief so deep it makes you want to puke. I know what hurt is. I know what its like to feel completely hopeless.

I deal with these things on a daily basis. But I am not going to give in, and I will not give up. You have just got to wipe your tears, and keep climbing this mountain like the strong person you are. I will keep going because there is an assignment on my life that I meant to live out and fulfill. You have that too. My life will be beautiful, and so will yours.

This is a safe place to talk, please send me an email on my contact page if you want someone to talk to. I don’t want you to feel alone, and I definitely don’t want to you to make the choice of ending your life when you have a promise of an entire beautiful life ahead of you.

Or if you’d feel more comfortable, you can speak with a Suicide prevention counselor anytime 24/7, by calling this number right here: 800-273-8255

Please don’t keep in your pain for yourself, please tell someone and get help.

Hon’, please, trust me. I know. It’s so, so hard. Life is tough, but so are you. You have to keep going. There is so much more that lies ahead, I promise there is.

The darkness of the night will end, and the sun will rise again.

Suicide is not the answer. I know how hopeless it feels. Like you need an escape, and have nowhere to turn. But Death is not the answer.

Jesus is your answer.

I have only been here for a handful of years, but I still know that life is worth living, and life is beautiful.

It makes me ache inside knowing that right this minute, someone is about to give up for good. And there may be no one there to stop it.

God promises that he will never forget you. He promises to always recklessly love you. Darling, he loves you so much. He holds you every day, and he watches over you through your journey.

You are not unloved. You are not forgotten. You are not useless. You are not weak. You are not pointless. Life is not pointless. Life, is beautiful.

There is so much more to come for you. So much more.

What a wonderful thought it is that some of the best days of our lives, haven’t happened yet. So many smiles and laughs and overwhelmingly joyful days that are still to come.

So hon’, please don’t do it.

No matter how painful, and frustrating.

No matter how stressful, or hopeless feeling,

No matter how dark.

There is still a promise from God that will forever remain.

Your life will be beautiful.

You have been created and put on this earth to do something that no other person has ever done before.

There is always light at the end of the tunnel.

Keep going hon.

It’s a promise from God

Life is worth living.

Igniting Inspiration Week #15 (also Blogmas Day #6)

Hiya hiya lovely people! I hope you are having an amazing Sunday, and welcome to Blogmas Day #6 on Sunshine & Rain! (AGHHHHH. 19 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS. xD) I am so happy that we are still going strong in this 6 day streak of Blogmas.

Anyways, today we are back with Week #15 of Igniting Inspiration! As always, I have gathered a few quotes, and hilarious MEMES, for some encouragement and laughs to kick off the new week ahead! I am very excited to see what this week holds, because it’s a week that has never been seen before. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Alrighty, please enjoy these wonderful quotes and MEMES that I hope will bring some light into your life! : D

I really love this. Such a beautiful way to look at things. To be excited about anything and everything, even the small things in daily life, and the promise and hope of things that are coming in the future.
Gosh, this one speaks for itself.
So true actually. Sometimes it has to go dark to be able to see the true light. Or sometimes we have to lose everything to find out what we really want.
Again, this one speaks for itself.
I absolutely adore this one. Real love is patient. Real love is kind. Real love hopes. Real love trusts. Real love always protects. Real love does not boast, or envy. It is not easily angered, or rude, or self seeking. And so many other things. But overall, real love never fails.

Let me know which of these beautiful quotes spoke to you the most! I absolutely love them all, and the way they speak to the heart is amazing.

Okey dokey, ready for the grand finale? Welp, before that I am going to bid my farewells right here and let you enjoy the wonderful MEMES xD

So thank you so much for checking out the latest here on Sunshine & Rain! I hope you enjoyed, and if you did, be sure to subscribe to the blog to make sure that you don’t miss out on any of the future content! Once again, thank you so much, and I love you guys lots ๐Ÿ˜‰ *blows kisses*

As usual, I challenge you to go through all of these MEMES and try not to laugh! If you accomplish that, then comment down below #NotAGiggle! And if you’re more like me, and can’t hold in a laugh for the life of you, then comment down below #…lotsagiggles xD

Got it? Okay then, here we go! Enjoy ๐Ÿ˜‰

*cracks up laughing*

okay, goodbye ๐Ÿ˜‚

Igniting Inspiration Week #14

…like the new logo? ; D

Hello lovely, and good Sunday Morning! (atleast from where I live ; D)

*sighs* It’s really good to be back. I have once again returned from another unexpected blogging hiatus, and I must say that I really missed this. Life has just been very different for me lately, and it was really nice to just take a step away from blogging and take a breathe before I came back to it. I have recently been working on a big bumble-jumble of a post about my life recently, so that should be up soon! I apologize for once again not letting y’all know about my short disappearances before hand, but I am so happy to be back now! xD

With my return, I have brought Week #14 of Igniting Inspiration which I am so excited for! For Week #13 of Igniting Inspiration, I decided to try some new things and change it up a bit. Well, for Week #14 I am once again changing things up. xD (Don’t worry it’s a good change ;D)

As much as I loved doing a short little devo last time, I found it pretty difficult to randomly come up with something to talk about in a devo. I basically had an inspiration burnout (which was bad because ya’know this series is all about inspiration) and decided that I would change things again.

Now, every week I’m usually used to sharing 15-20 different aesthetic quotes, but I have decided that I’m gonna cut it down to 5-10 quotes a week. 1. Because searching for that many quotes on Pinterest actually takes a long time. 2. Using that many quotes a week I am bound to completely run out someday, seriously. And 3. I would like to focus more on certain things instead of just throwing a bunch of quotes out there.

Last time, I also said I wanted to start sharing inspiration and encouragement through my own words and heart. That’s why I tried to start doing a devo every week, but it unfortunately didn’t work out for me. So, this week (and hopefully here on out) we are going to be focusing on just a handful of encouraging quotes, and I would like to give my input on each of them. I want to start sharing what they each mean to me, and why they speak to my heart!

Oh, and yes, we are absolutely still keeping the MEMES, those will never change xD

So, Welcome my dear friends to Week #14 Of Igniting Inspiration, in which I am featuring a handful of encouraging (and pleasingly aesthetic) quotes, and some hilarious MEMES to kick off the new week ahead! I am very excited to see what this week holds, because I have never seen it before. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Alrighty guys, away we go! xD

This one I have found to actually be one of my favorite quotes ever. It’s such a comforting and quite amazing thought that one day, we will find what we have been searching for. Or, we may even find something bigger, and more beautiful than what we ever imagined we could have. That thought brings me so much hope.
This one I actually feel like is so very true! Sometimes it’s nice to find a little reminder like that. How so beautiful you really are, you are just so used to yourself you don’t actually realize your beauty. โค
Such a great reminder when you’re facing something fierce. Just keep fighting that battle. Just keep pushing through the raging storm. Keep climbing that mountain because there is promise from God that something absolutely beautiful beyond imagination, waits on the other side. It will all be so worth it.
This relates to the quote above quite alot. One day, everything that you are fighting against or that mountain you are climbing, will all be apart of your story. Your testimony. Your testimony has power, and when shared with others, it can change lives. I think it’s actually amazing, telling the story of how your life was changed, and that changes another life. โค
What an amazing thing. Sometimes we have to be broken down, before we can build up. There is beauty in the ashes. There is beauty in shattered hearts. There is beauty in the broken, because that’s what makes us who we are. It’s what helps us to grow and figure out who we are meant to be, so that we can start building again, and healing, and turning into something beautiful.
This one also relates to the quote above. There cannot be any rainbows without rain. The rain is what makes us grow, and that’s what makes it beautiful. There cannot be beauty without any broken. The flowers wouldn’t be here if they didn’t go through the rain. In the end, there will be beauty and joy and happiness waiting. You just gotta push through.
Ahhh, I love this one so much. Just such an encouragement that you can be who you want to be, without letting other things or people affect that. You really can be the best version of you imaginable, and that thought makes me so happy. I really love thinking about who I am gonna be in the next 5 years or so. I like to imagine how I will have grown and changed, because I know there will always be change ahead. You really can be the best you, you’ve just gotta work towards it.

Haha it feels so different giving a smaller amount of quotes than what I’m used to, but I really enjoyed giving my input on those ones!

Tisโ€™ the time where I must bid my farewells before this officially ends. *sigh* But donโ€™t worry! There is much more coming to Sunshine & Rain so be sure to subscribe to the blog to make sure you donโ€™t miss out! (Subscribing also makes you an official member of the #GummyBearFam ๐Ÿ˜‰)

So before this post ends, thanks a bunch my loves for checking out the latest here on Sunshine & Rain! I hope that you enjoyed Week #14 of Igniting Inspiration, and I canโ€™t wait to chat with you guys!

Now, for the grand finale we have the MEMES! xD

Please enjoy these wonderful MEMES, and as always, I challenge you to go through all of them without laughing! If you accomplish that, then comment down below #NotAGiggle! And if youโ€™re more like me, and canโ€™t hold in a laugh for the life of you (no shame), then comment down below #…lotsagiggles! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Okay, ready. Set. Here we go! xD (bye-bye lovely person ๐Ÿ˜Š *waves*)

AGHHH. I seriously missed y’all so much, you’re the freakin’ BEST HUMANS EVER! ight, byeeeee *smiles big*

Your Vote Matters: Choose With Your Heart

Today is November 3rd, 2020. Today is Election Day.

I need you to know that your vote matters. Your vote is helping to determine how this country is going to be run for the next 4 years.

This is a very anxious time for everybody. I feel like I’ve been really quiet about this, but I think we all know that life this year has been insane. I mean absolutely insane.

In all the years that I have been here on this earth, 2020 has by far been the most strange, terrifying, stressful, and painful year I have experienced. I am sure that many people have also felt that way.

Nobody has been able to control which way this year goes at all, and it’s been so stressful.

But this is your chance you use your voice for the better.

Your vote, has power. Your vote is completely your choice and yours only. That’s the whole purpose of a vote, to give people a choice.

As true as that is, I just want to tell you, that you should vote with your heart. Many people have already voted by now, but if you haven’t, I strongly encourage you to go do it.

When you do vote, you should vote for what you believe in, not for who you like.

It’s okay not to like somebody. Nobody is perfect. But if that person can really give something good to this country, then vote for that. Please, don’t vote just out of emotions.

Stand up, and use your voice to vote for what this country needs.

I was pretty hesitant about sharing this at first, but I am going to share who we are voting for this year. I mean, I am not old enough to personally go and vote yet, but this would be my choice.

This year, we are voting for President Trump.

There are many different reasons why we are voting for him, and we are voting with our hearts. President Trump has been a pretty phenomenal leader for this country. He clearly loves God, and wants all of the good for this country and it’s people. He stands up against things that we don’t believe in, such as the killing of children in the womb, (Please check out my post on Abortion Here) and many other things.

Trump clearly cares about the country, and I feel that he has done amazingly in working towards keeping our beautiful country the way it should be.

I would say that I’m not telling you who you should vote for, but actually, I am.

If you want to work further towards keeping our country great, then I encourage you to vote for Trump. I’m not just some young girl proclaiming this because my parents and friends are, if I had the ability to vote right now, he would absolutely be my choice.

Once again, it’s okay not to like somebody. But please dear, don’t vote for someone else just because you have a higher opinion of them.

Trump has done many amazing things for this country, and I know he will continue to as well. Just look up Trump Administration Accomplishments, and you’ll see multiple things he has done for the benefit of the US just since his election!

I wanted to keep this short, but overall say the same thing.

Vote with your heart.

Vote for what is right, pure, and good.

Vote for what will keep this country safe, and beautiful.

Vote for what you choose hon’

But please. Be sure you make the right choice.
