Blogmas Day #19: Easy & Affordable Last Minute Gift Ideas

(6 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS. OH MY CHEESEPUFFS WE ARE SO CLOSE!! xD)

Hiya hiya and good evening my beautiful beans, I hope you have had a wonderful day and welcome to Day #19 of Blogmas here on Sunshine & Rain!

Today I have put together a list of some great Easy & Affordable Last Minute Gift Ideas that would be great for basically anyone! These are actually so easy to do, but are still super amazing and thoughtful gifts to give.

So please enjoy, and take inspiration for anyone on your list this year! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • A bunch of yummy treats & snacks

Anyone will love a basket with some candies and small goodies in it! Places like Dollar tree has plenty of snacks for just a dollar each, and it’s super easy to throw a treat basket together!

  • Candles or Essential oils

Sweet smells are always something to be loved

  • A special handmade painting/drawing

A handmade craft is always special, and I love being able to sit and take the time to make something special for someone, even if it’s small it’s really special. I’m actually doing some crafty things myself this Christmas xD

  • A cozy blanket

I mean who wouldn’t love a soft blanket to snuggle with?

  • Jewelry

Nice jewelry and any accessories are easy to find, and will absolutely be loved!

  • Gift cards

What’s an easier last minute gift than a gift card? If you aren’t sure what to buy for a specific person, let them use the cash and buy whatever they choose! Sure takes a load off ;D

  • Beanie & Scarves

You can find some absolutely adorable beanies & scarves, and it’s always nice to be able to bundle up!

  • Cozy socks

Soft and warm socks are a must have. Just yes.

  • Blue light glasses

Blue light glasses are actually something i’d like to have, and you can find so many cool & cute patterns! These are great for anyone who works with screens often.

  • A fun family game

Family games are a great idea! Scattergories, Clue, Life, etc. Absolutely such a fun thing to give!

  • Movie night in a box

Just throw a couple movies, drinks, a blanket, popcorn, and candies in a basket and boom! An entire movie night in one kit!

  • Back scratcher & Scalp massager

Ahhhh, these things are heavenly. The scalp massager feels absolutely amazing, and I’m sure that anyone would love it.

  • Water bottle

Nice water bottles to travel with are definitely a must have!

  • Mug with tea & hot chocolate packets

Another yummy gift of treats to put together!

  • Notebooks & Planners

A 2021 planner surely has to be something EVERYONE wants this year amiright? A nice planner or notebook, or journal to write thoughts in is a great gift!

  • Headphones or a bluetooth speaker

My headphones, and bluetooth speaker are my techno best friends. (next to my phone though) and you can find some great ones that are pretty inexpensive! My headphones are by the brand Mkay on Amazon for about $30 and they are INSANE.

  • Homemade sweets

Bake a batch of cookies, or a pie, and wrap it up for someone else to enjoy. Always a nice thing to give.

  • A kind handwritten card

What’s sweeter than a heartfelt letter or note simply stating what they mean to you? You can even make a list of “All the reasons I love you”, and that’s surely a great gift for anyone.

  • Something to stay warm

A heated stuffie, heated blankie, a warm jacket, anything to stay cozy during these cold days will be an amazing gift.

  • Printed pictures

Printed pictures hold the memory of a moment, and that’s a beautiful thing. You can even make a mini scrapbook full of memories!

  • A Good book or Magazine Subscription

I love my Brio magazine, but of course there are soooo many different mags out there. A good book or devotional is also a great gift for anyone.

Welp, that’s it for today’s Blogmas post, and I shall return tomorrow my loves. I hope you enjoyed the latest here on Sunshine & Rain, and if you did, please be sure to Subscribe to the blog so you never miss out on any future posts!

Blogmas Day #9: Acts of Kindness to Spread Holiday Cheer (12/9/20)

Hiya hiya beautiful gummy bears! I hope you are having a wonderful day, and welcome to Day #9 of Blogmas 2020! xD (AHHHHHH. 16 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS GUYS.) Can’t believe that tomorrow we will have a 10 day streak on Sunshine & Rain!

Today I am making a big list of Acts of Kindness to do, that will spread the love and cheer of the Holidays. I wanted to post this because in yesterdays post I talked about how one simple act of kindness can change someones entire perspective. So, what better time to give examples than now? Simple and random acts of kindness truly can change a life, and I think that’s absolutely amazing. Not only should we all practice these over the Holidays, but in every day life.

Alrighty, here we go! Just a big ole’ list of some sweet things to do ๐Ÿ˜Š

  • Pay for the order of the person behind you
  • Make love filled Christmas cards and hide them anywhere for someone to find
  • Buy a gift and leave it at a neighbors doorstep
  • Bake cookies and put them in the mailbox with a note for the mailman to find
  • Write little loving notes and hide them anywhere for a stranger to find and re-hide
  • Shovel the neighbors driveway
  • Give a stranger a heartfelt compliment
  • Leave a bin of goodies with a note out on your front porch for the delivery men to grab a snack
  • Give someone a random hug
  • Look at someone, and just smile
  • Leave a kind note & tip for the waiter/waitress that served you
  • Take someones shopping cart for them
  • Help someone with a chore
  • Give someone homeless a donation of money or buy them a meal
  • Sit and talk with the quiet kid
  • Give someone a flower randomly
  • Tie scarves, gloves, coats, and blankets around poles for people in need to take
  • Leave a sweet comment on someones post
  • Make someone laugh
  • Introduce yourself to someone new
  • Stand up for somebody
  • Make a list for someone of all the things you love about them
  • Take some time to tell the store/restaurant manager to rant on how great the employee who served you was
  • Leave unused coupons for someone to find
  • Purposely drop a penny on the ground
  • Give someone a random phone call
  • Volunteer at an animal shelter, donate toys, food, and blankets, and give some cuddles โค
  • Teach someone something new
  • Leave a gift card at a gas station for someone to find
  • Make encouraging letters to send into nursing homes, and hospitals
  • Help to pick up something that somebody dropped
  • Sing a song for someone
  • Babysit without payment

I will definitely be doing as many of these as I can not only through the Holidays, but all the time. You definitely should too ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thanks a bunch for being the amazing person you are and checking out the latest here on Sunshine & Rain! I hope you enjoyed, and if you did, be sure to subscribe to the blog to make sure that you don’t miss out on any of the future content! xD

(as you probably already seen) Ahhh, Christmas time altogether is just my favorite, and writing about these things makes me even more excited. xD You will definitely have to let me know what your favorite things about this time of year are!

Alrighty, lets just make like a bunny and hop right in. Enjoy! ; D

The true meaning of Christmas

Of course the true meaning of Christmas is the most beautiful of all. Jesus came down and our salvation was a gift, he brought the gift of good news that we would be able to live eternal life because he would one day die for our own sins. Christmas is all about gifts, but we shouldn’t forget the most important gift of all. โค

Watching the snow fall

I love watching the snow fall out the window either early in the morning, or dark at night. Its such a beautiful thing to watch the snow flurries fall and the street lights shining through, while the Christmas lights twinkle on the house roofs.

Making a Christmas list

I feel like this is always one of everyones favorite parts of Christmastime xD I feel like most of these are self explanatory

Ripping open presents on Christmas morning

Definitely such a great time opening presents early on Christmas morning! Just the whole feel of the morning makes me happy ๐Ÿ™‚

Cuddling up warm and cozy

I guarantee that during the winter you will find me curled up in my 7 layer burrito blanket 99.9% of the time. Seriously love being warm and cozy.

Warm drinks

You can’t have Christmas without hot chocolate! You should definitely check out the DIY (paleo friendly) Frothy Hot Chocolate recipe that I posted just recently! xD

Putting up the tree & Decorating

Always a favorite thing of mine. Decorating the tree, and setting up some decor around the house with my family is just great ๐Ÿ˜‰ Really brings on more of the Christmastime vibe!

Baking sugar cookies

Awhile ago we invited my Aunt & Uncle over to bake sugar cookies around Christmas! They were so much fun to frost and decorate, and definitely amazing to eat ; D

Christmas dinner with family

Spending time and eating a big yummy dinner with my family is always a blast. Stuffing yourself with food and then laughing until you feel like you might burst xD

Pretty Lights & Christmas decor

I love driving around with my family to see all the pretty lights and Christmas decor outside people’s houses. It’s like a big light show : D

Jamming to Christmas music

Again, pretty self explanatory. Who doesn’t love FREAKIN CHRISTMAS MUSIC xD

Christmas sweaters

Ugly Christmas sweaters. Yes. Just yes.

Making cards & putting together gifts

I always enjoy making Christmas cards, and putting together mini packages of gifts for my friends. Love seeing their faces light up when they open them ๐Ÿ˜Š

The sweet smells of the Holidays

I absolutely LOVE HOLIDAY SMELLS. Like the scent of vanilla, peppermint, and cinnamon filling the air, such a beautiful feeling it gives.

Watching Christmas movies

A Christmas Story, The Grinch, Elf, Home Alone, ahhhhhh, just yes.

Trying desperately but failing at trying to get even a wink of sleep on the night before Christmas because of the overwhelming excitement for the morning *phew*

Self explanatory. Anyone else feel me on this one?

Alright guys, sadly I must say goodbye now. But don’t worry because there is so much more to come to the blog! Especially for the next 18 days ; D Thanks for being the amazing person you are and checking out the latest here on Sunshine & Rain! If you enjoyed, you should definitely subscribe to the blog to make sure you don’t miss out on any of the upcoming content!

Ingredients:

13.5 ounce can of coconut milk + enough water to equal 3 cups of total liquid

3 tablespoons of honey or maple syrup

2 tablespoons of gelatin

2 tablespoons of cacao powder

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

(steps below)

Step 1: Heat coconut milk and water on stove. Once hot, pour into blender.

Step 2: Add in remaining ingredients and blend until it’s well incorporated

Step 3: Pour into a mug and enjoy! Yep, that’s it! Top it off with some marshmallows to add some more froth to the top!
