Anyways, the reason I’m making this post, is because I didn’t actually make the latest Igniting Inspiration Post this morning. I don’t know if any of you noticed it, but I would still like to apologize for not having those quotes and MEMES uploaded, that I know you guys seem to love so much. I really enjoy making the Igniting Inspiration Series, and cannot wait till the next time comes where I can make the latest post in the series!

I have just been focused on other things this week, and haven’t worked on blogging at all. I actually had a bunch of ideas for this week to work on, but I’ve been distracted from it altogether. I really wish I would’ve had today’s post up for you guys, but life has had other things going on. It’s actually not just this weeks posts either, I’ve been missing so much with blogging the past couple months even.

I had actually started doing Life Updates in June/July, but unfortunately I’ve been so busy and distracted that I’ve missed 2 Life Update posts. I am not actually going to continue the Monthly Life Updates right now. It became a struggle to find even a few things I thought was worth writing about from the month, and I would much rather just write about something happened in the month whenever I have inspiration, rather than trying to fish for important things to include. I’m making a commitment to try and be more consistent with uploading and I can’t wait to start posting more!

I definitely will make sure that I post this week, and I’m starting to work on the many ideas for posts that I’ve just recently done some brainstorming for!

So, I have included a list below of a bunch of Upcoming Posts here on Sunshine & Rain, that I am super excited for! Haha some of them are Holiday related so they won’t be uploaded for a few months, but I am still so pumped for them! Here are all of my post ideas! Summer 2020 Room Tour:

Hey girly! What’s up with you today? I am super duper excited for today’s post because this is my first Room Tour on Sunshine & Rain! I can’t wait to show you guys my lovely bedroom haha!

I actually am pretty happy with the style of my bedroom right now, I really love the look and feel of it! To me, my bedroom feels so cozy and cute and it still at the same time feels like home. I’m sorta going for a bohemian, hippie, beach-palm-springs type style for it! What theme is your bedroom? I’d love to hear about it!

Alright, before I burst from excitement, I’m gonna start the tour 😁

Right when you walk into my bedroom, to the left of the door is my mirror and closet! I like writing encouragement and quotes to myself on the mirror, it’s really uplifting at some times ❤️

When you look straight ahead from my door, is my desk and creative-work-artsy-fartsy-area! Aka, my desk and shelves. (Again with the terrible but also amazing naming of things from Hailey.)

Hanging above my desk I have my calendar, some mini shelves with decor, my list of positive affirmations that I like to read over, and my slowly but surely growing wall of polaroids! I keep most of my art supplies inside my desk drawers, and a lot of my pen pal stuff too!

Haha my shelves have almost too many things to name off, but I’m sure you can see everything for yourself! My shelves hold a lot of my favorite things, and a lot of things that have no other specific place they belong inside my room….

*lists everything on the shelves anyways*

Funko POP collection, lego creations gifted to me by my brother, black jewelry box, bible, pink journal, mini mirror, nail polish, llama book ends, summer savings jar, candle, books, glasses, pink box that holds all my scrunchies, art supplies, mini vintage cameras, beautiful art work from Allie, notebooks, tripods, favorite mugs, magazines, DS, and Polaroid film.

My shelves hold my every growing collection of Funko Pops up on top! 😝

Next to my shelves is my lovely window! I love how big my window is and it’s open 99.9% of the time haha! I am working on finding some pretty curtains for my window, instead of the weird blinds that I’m not so fond of haha!

Over to the right side of my bedroom in the top corner is my dresser, and bean bag chair which I love so much!

Also to the right of that, is my bed area! I love the way my bed area looks and I think it’s very me! I love my fairy lights, my throw pillows, my Rip Surf, my macrame wall hanger above my head board, and all of it! 😊

Well, this was kinda short haha but that’s the over all tour of my bedroom! I really hope you enjoyed this little mini tour, and I can’t wait to do more soon because Jesus knows how much I switch up my bedroom 🙌🏻😂

YOU GUYS. I am literally so excited for this post. (Also hello there my lovely friend! Haha how are you today? xD) So I have just recently decided, that I am going to start making short little photo shoot posts on letters that I make for and receive from my Pen pals! Today I am featuring my most recent letter from Allie!

Speaking of which, Allie has just recently switched her blog over to WordPress! Definitely go check it out because her posts are absolutely amazing, and I promise her blog is totally worth your time. Allie is such an amazing girl, and such a great friend of mine and you should totally go check out her blog here at Allie@gowiththewaves, give her a good ole’ follow, and lots of love!

Alrighty, onto the adorable letter photography! xD

The envelope art was absolutely adorable! ❤ Also I’m actually loving the flower stickers covering the address haha! Might as well make it cute right? xD
She sent me an entire envelope full of rose petals and pressed baby’s breath flowers and it made me smile so much! It was just beautiful ❤
In this photo is a vintage postcard from Arizona (which is actually probably from the 50’s or 60’s which I thought was SO COOL! I’ve always dreamed of seeing Arizona, my heart feels so pulled towards that place haha so thank you so very much for that Allie!) Also along with a very AaeEsSssTtEeETTiIIcCcc little photo collage and super cute paint chips! ❤️
She also sent me some little-puff-ball-flower-pom-pom-hangy-things (wow hailey what an amazing definition, but i’m sorry thats awful.), an adorable ATC, and a little decorative garland for my room!
And this is a picture of the envelope the beautiful flowers came in, the outside of the handwritten letter which was like 6 pages long so that’s the explanation behind the label, (gosh allie you crack me up 😂 ), and the cute little envelope with our questions and answers sheets on the inside!

(I’m not going to show the inside of the handwritten letters, or the Q&A sheets just for personal safety reasons.)

Hello loves! My name is Allie and I run the blog Go With The Waves over on wix! Here’s a little bit about me 😊 I started blogging a little over a year ago and had some ups and downs with the blog and my life. But! I immediately loved doing what I was doing!

DIY Space Buns Tutorial:

Hiya hiya girls! How are ya? Today I am so excited because I am going to be doing my first hairstyle tutorial! (totally wasn’t too obvious by the title) I am doing my favorite version of space buns! Now since I already explain everything in the video below, I won’t go into a whole lot of detail right now haha.

I will provide you guys with a worded directions tutorial at the bottom of the post, and a video tutorial as well! I can’t wait to show you guys how to do this so lets do this!

Worded Tutorial:

Supplies Needed:

  1. Hair brush
  2. Parting comb
  3. 2 Scrunchies (Preferably around the same color)
  4. 2 Normal Hair-ties
  5. Bobby pins

Estimated time: 5-10 minutes

Directions:

  1. Brush out your hair completely, then use a comb to straighten your part at the top of your head.

2. Use your fingers and comb to part two sections of hair at the back of your head.

3. Start on one side and pull the section of hair up into a high ponytail with a scrunchie, and make sure it’s tight enough to stay.

4. Tug on and pull out hairs around sides and front of face to loosen and give it a messier look.

5. Repeat steps 3, and 4 on the other side. You should now have 2 high ponytails on each side of your head.

6. Start with one ponytail and and spread out hair around the scrunchie making a “donut”. Make sure it’s spread as evenly as possible to try and cover the scrunchie a bit.

7. Put one hand around the “donut” and use the other to put a hair-tie around the bottom. Pull out and tug on the donut/bun to give it more volume and messiness.

8. Take the extra hair hanging down from the bun and bring it to the front of your face. Separate it into two sections and wrap the hair in separate directions around the bottom of the bun a couple times. (I normally have to wrap it 3 times.) Once you’ve only got a little bit of hair hanging at the back, pin it down with bobby pins to secure it.

9. Once again pull out or tug on hairs to loosen. Then repeat steps 6, 7, and 8 on the other ponytail.

10. You’re done! You should now have two beautiful and voluminous space buns!

Hiya hiya! It’s yo girl here! What’s up with you today? Today I am here with Hairstyles that I am determined to learn/my favorite hairstyles/hairstyle inspo for y’all! (Wow that’s alot) I have wanted to do some sort of hair inspired post for awhile now and FINALLY got around to it. There aren’t any tutorials in this post, it’s just a big ole’ compilation of hairstyles that I must say I freakin’ LOVE!

Isn’t this one adorable? I love how free and boho it looks! I’d definitely love to learn this one sometime. This one uses a pull through braid! (I am currently experimenting with pull through braid styles as well!)

This one is just gorgeous! I don’t know what it is, but it is just so beautiful to me! This one is called “Pull through braid pigtails”.

This hairstyle uses a hair scarf, and I love it so much! Just a little half bun loop pulled around the back and tied together! Definitely gonna try this one!

Aghhhhh this is another very boho chic hairstyle! I love it alot, and ya’know what? I think this may be my future wedding hairstyle ❤

The classic ponytail! I love the messy look of this one and on lazy days, this is usually my go-to ✌

Space buns! This hairstyle is super cute and actually pretty easy! I do this one all the time and never get tired of being called “Gummy bear” by my friends 😁❤

Add this to the list of my possible future wedding hairstyles! This is just a big, full, voluminous pull through braid and I love it so much! I’d totally do this with wild flowers tucked in the braid 😊

Another boho style! Ahhh, something so wild and pretty about this one!
